Karen Rabenau joined Twiggs, Beskind, Strickland & Rabenau, a North Carolina Trucking Accident Law Firm in 1992 after graduation from law school. She has an AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell—the highest rating available. Karen is recognized in Best Lawyers in America in two distinct areas: personal injury litigation and medical malpractice law. For the past 16 years, she has focused her practice in these areas.
Karen has successfully tried civil cases to verdict in state and federal courts and before arbitration panels. She recently finished serving for two years as chair of the Medico-Legal Liaison Committee for the North Carolina Bar Association. Karen also speaks to physician groups across North Carolina about legal topics.

While at UNC Law School, Karen was one of two students in her second year class to be chosen as a member of the Holderness Moot Court National Team. During her undergraduate studies at Hollins College, she was a Hollins Scholar, elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and honored with the Sarah McCutchen Cook Award for American Studies.
