Benjamin Bailey earned his juris doctor from Harvard Law School in 1980 and was admitted to the West Virginia bar in the same year. After graduating he was a Law Clerk to the Hon. John T. Copenhaver, Jr., U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia and then held the position of Assistant US Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia from 1982-1984. He then served for two years as counsel to the Governor of West Virginia.
Mr. Bailey worked for 10 years as a litigation partner at a large firm in Charleston and then teamed up with Brian Glasser to form Bailey & Glasser in 1999. Since founding the firm, Ben has handled many high profile case involving environmental litigation and anti-trust.
Attorney Bailey has also distinguished himself as one of the nation’s leading auto defect lawyers. Last month he was named by Judge James V. Selna as one of nine lawyers to the Plaintiffs’ Counsel Committee for Economic Loss in the national lawsuit filed against Toyota Motor Corporation for sudden acceleration problems.
